I’ve used Dyson for the past 20 years. They’re sturdy, reliable and will keep going for years. I was so pleased to be able to find this model as Dyson seem to be moving away from making cylinders and upright plug in vacuums. This upright model is really powerful and is perfect for our busy house and constantly malting collie. We have carpets throughout our home which keep our draft old Victorian town house cosy and warm underfoot. So our Dyson vacuum is in constant use. This model is light and easy to use, especially on flights of stairs. The ball makes it effortless manoeuvring around furniture. It empties easily and cleanly. There are plenty of attachments including two spinning brush heads, one slightly smaller than the large one on the main part of the vacuum, and a small one which is great for the carpeted stairs. The attachments clip on and off easily and all but the larger brush head can be stored on vacuum ready and at hand to use while your cleaning around the house. The only downside is the extendable hose and metal tube which are great for reaching difficult areas but are also awkward to use in others. The hose keeps tightening up (I think due to the powerful suction) so it’s difficult to vacuum away from the main body of the machine. (My previous Dyson was a cylinder type so I was used to working with it differently.) All in all, I’m very pleased with my new Dyson and I know I’ll get used to using an upright again. I love how powerful it is and it’s always pleasing to feel and see all the muck being pulled out of the carpet so easily.Read full review

Having owned a DC 14 before this, I can say that this dyson ball is not a patch on the old one. The suction is poor particularly when using the tools in the car. This is the main reason for buying an upright and it fails. It is the best of the bunch though and certainly better than the rechargeable model. So I have to accept it. It is easy to use and makes a good job of scooping up pet hair. It has a good length of lead and is quiet when running. It feels cheaply made and I don’t think it will last as long as my old model.

I eventually made the decision to buy another Dyson, a Big Ball Animal 2 Upright, before they become obsolete and only the Cordless stick ones are available. We have a Dyson Original cordless stick one which has its uses such as stairs but it doesn't collect like our old DC04 AND DC07. So before the disappear I thought it was necessary to buy the newest Upright version I could and suddenly Dyson were selling refurbished stock off. It was delivered within 3 days and after opening it and putting it together (very simple) my first thought was it appears to be very slightly lighter than I was used to and made of slightly thinner material. Hmmm I thought, not sure if I have made the correct decision in buying this or not. well, let me put your mind at rest. It is just as good as a brand new one, it manoeuvres far easier than my old ones and the front piece which collects the dirt is slightly shallower than my previous models which means it can go underneath more furniture. It also has great suction power and carpets look great after using it. I've only had it about 3 weeks now so in terms of durability goes I will have to wait and see but all the initial signs are good. Yes, I'm well pleased with my buy.Read full review

A touch lighter than my old Dyson and the ball makes it very easy to manoeuver round. Attachment tools have been developed for the good and so has the hose. The dirt collector is smaller than the older model and so needs emptying more often. All in all, a great product. This purchase was a factory refurbishment but you wouldn't know it, the machine looks brand new.

I read review witch made me this about the hover, the price was off putting, but i thought i need a good hover. I have two long haired, German shepherds, and 4 fluffy cats. I also am disabled, i have a very bad right hand and wrist, and struggle, this is perfect, easily to push, very light. It is easy to empty you just pressthe button. It works fantastic picked up all the hairs, and it looked great you don't need it on full power as half is perfect for it.. It is well worth the money yes it is expensive for a lot of people, but i can honestly say its worth it.. Bonus is you get 5 years guaranteed as normal from dyson itself.. I have had a few dysons and the old animal bigball was far to heavy for me. This one is perfect. I would highly recommend to anyone who has ferbabies..
